Finally, here are excerpts from the report by FW Frank Seidel:

"Dear family, dear friends, dear supporters!

I am safely arrived in South Africa! I arrived at 08.26 noon to 12:20 in Durban and was immediately picked up by Jan-Hendrik, my predecessor. Quick things packed into the car and off to Monteseel, I live for a year. The ride was very influenced by many new impressions, also it was very, very warm! On the highway past the new towns, informal settlements and the cars here in Germany could no longer permitted to drive ... ...

But before we are driven to the house, but we are still at the "Drum Mont" held a viewpoint from which one of the thousand hills overlooking the valley. Breathtaking. Unfortunately I have not got any photos of it ... .. then made the journey went on to our "cottage". Then we have

panted in short, unloaded my luggage and then we went to school ever spontaneously where I work now. Arrived at the school were already a lot of kids running up and have opened the door. All wanted to know who I was because .... Jan-Hendrik is not the day a lot more to say than "lona igama lake uFrank" which means "His name is Frank" and to always "He's the new volunteer!" So great children's eyes I have not seen for a long time ....

This idea took about 2-3 hours. ... We walked through the school and almost always have more kids made. I was surprised not bad, but because the number of albinos are on the school. I would say now, after two days of school right that there are about 50 Albion at the school, and the total at about 350 students.

Monday morning (7.30 clock) we were then presented at the weekly general assembly of the school as "the new volunteers" by Jan-Hendrik. The Monday then we have spent with us to introduce the teachers, at least among those who were present, because at the moment is the "Ethembeni flew" around, so an apparently very annoying flu. Then we have "worked" the volunteer schedule. ... So I have until the OT group (occupational therapy) to participate and lunch-time we had a really fun football game. First we had five against five, but of course Word got around quickly that can be kicked, so we were quick 25 on the square and another ten more kids watching the. We have collected the first plus points with this game with the kids, that was fun.
the evening, we then have our first "braai" had, therefore, a South African barbecue. We were invited by the Americans turn to the time a film about two students that soon the New York marathon, or sink. The food was great!

On Tuesday we are at 8.00 clock in the school and have work, "wanted" .... Because so many teachers are ill at the moment we have in Grade 5 PD (physically disabled) a little bit trying to take the boredom of the kids and tries to deal with them. Jan-Hendrik Sudoku was very effective, which has been out later than really serious undertaking, as it has some heavy much to paint the grid. Heavier's also when the kids not the English words for example Grid know ... .. a bit of a challenge to explain the

;-) Anyway, I can say that I'm here now like super good, the people welcome you on the street one time, even if one not know the people you know who you call a "sharp" over and they laugh. The landscape is unique, although still not everything is really green here it looks like that from idyllic. The two viewpoints here it is near an overwhelming offer a look into the "Valley of the Thousand Hills". During the day when the sun shines, it is really nice and can be in shorts and T-shirts . Run around But once it gets dark against 17:30-18:00 clock is already much cooler. I thank you .... has
... for each of the possible here!
... at my farewell committee at the airport!
... for the kind words in my farewell book!
... for the parting gifts!
... with my family!

I look forward to emails from you and hope that you are doing well!
Love,
the Frank who is now in Africa! (How amazing is that ???!!!! I can not really believe!)
